Dr. Ronald Naluwairo

Dr. Ronald Naluwairo is a legal scholar and advocate committed to the development of legal education and training in Uganda and East Africa. He is an Associate Professor at the Human Rights and Peace Centre and Ag. Principal of the School of Law, Makerere University. Hitherto, he was the Deputy Principal (Ag) of the School. He has also previously served the School as Deputy Dean in charge of graduate studies and administration.

He has a PhD from the University of London, LLM from the University of Cambridge, LLB (Hons) from Makerere University and a diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre. He is an advocate of the courts of judicature in Uganda. He was called to the Bar in 2003.  He is a member of Law Council’s Committee on Legal Education and Training and member of Makerere University’s Board of Research and Graduate Training.  He is a strong advocate of justice, rule of law and respect for human rights.
